Early February was the culmination of two weeks of work on the Price family home in south Los Angeles, as well as three other homes located on the 700 block of 41st Place.  Mr Price's family has lived in this home for 65 years, and it has been passed down through the generations. Unfortunately, due to lack of income the home deteriorated throughout the years.

Upon inspection, the needs were enormous. Large blue tarps covered gaping holes in the roof which had become home to local birds.  Because of the roof damage the interior walls were coming down.  Exterior paint was peeling all the way to bare wood. The interior had not been painted in 40 years. Electrical and plumbing were in need of major repairs and the plumbing problems grew as we tried to fix the situation. In the end, we had to replace the sewer main that runs into the street. Once the street was opened up, it was apparent the neighbor's home across the street was also affected, making our outreach grow from 3 to 4 houses.
